Coloring Easter Eggs

It was a cold, snowy Easter here. Since there was absolutely no chance of an outdoor egg hunt this year, we spent our indoor time coloring eggs and baking treats.

Ethan used a white crayon to decorate his eggs before coloring them. He colored all of his eggs green.
Mary Kate and Dad were in charge of coloring the yellow and blue eggs.
Great job, everyone! Thumbs-ups and winking at the same time is a new trick Ethan has learned. Mary Kate does her best to wink, too.

March Highlights...Week One and Two

We are inside today enjoying yet another snow storm. And Mom is trying to recover from the stomach flu. When Mom's not in the bathroom being sick, she's busy disinfecting everything, and so far, it's paid off and noone else has gotten sick. Fingers crossed.

On to the March highlights. We apologize for our lack of updates this month!

Week One:

Ethan and his friend Jack (and the Dads) went to a MN Gophers on-field kids baseball clinic at the Metrodome. They had lots of fun and learned some great pitching, fielding and batting skills.

We also celebrated Grandma Brenda's birthday. Ethan made her a semi-truck personalized with her name using letters cut out of the newspaper.

Mary Kate hams it up with Grandma at her birthday brunch.

Week Two:
Easter surprises arrived in the mail from Nana. Mary Kate models one of her new sweaters.

Ethan arranged all Nana's gifts on the chair. He was most excited about the robin's egg candy covered chocolates.

During yet another frigid afternoon indoors, Ethan gets creative with the markers while Mom is putting Mary Kate down for a nap. This is his body art interpretation of a cat.

We enjoyed an evening at our friends, the Hendricksons. Ethan and Mary Kate loved playing their piano.
